The Chancellor.- (1) The Governor of Karnataka shall, by virtue of his office, be the Chancellor of the University. (2) He shall be the Head of the University and shall, when present, preside at any Convocation of the University. (3) No honorary degree shall be conferred by the University upon any person without 11 the approval of the Chancellor. (4) The Chancellor shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed on him by or under this Act.
