Power of State Government to issue directions.- The State Government may give such directions to the 1[University]1 as in its opinion are necessary or expedient for carrying out the purposes of this Act or to give effect to any of the provisions contained therein or of any rules or orders made thereunder and the Board of Governor or the Board of management, as the case may be, of the 1[University]1 shall comply with every such direction.
