Objectives of the University.- The University shall be deemed to have been established and incorporated with the following objects, namely:- (a) To make provision for imparting education towards development of quality human resource in different branches of study as stated under clause (19) of section 2; 9 (b) To further the advancement of learning including distance education and conducting of research, particularly in horticulture and other allied sciences; (c) To undertake the extension education of such science and technologies, specially for the rural people of the State; (d) To promote partnership and linkages with national and international educational, Industries, research institutes of Semi Government / Government / Private and others; (e) Such other objects as the State Government may by notification in the official Gazette specify from time to time.
