Functions of Research Council

Functions of Research Council.- The Research Council shall consider and make recommendations in respect of;- (i) Research programmes and projects undertaken or to be undertaken by the various University units in the field of Horticulture and other allied Sciences with a view to promote effective co-ordination; (ii) Physical, fiscal and administrative facilities required for implementing research projects; (iii) Orienting research to meet the needs of the farmers and other stakeholders; (iv) Integration of research, extension, teaching and participation of research workers in teaching and extension education programme; (v) Foster and Co-ordinate public – private partnership in research; (vi) any other matter pertaining to research programmes which may be referred to it by the Vice-Chancellor or the Board or any other authority of the University.
