Hence, the Bill. [L.A. Bill No.23 of 2014, File No. Samvyashae 55 Shasana 2013] [Entry 14 of List II and entry 25 of list III of the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India.] IV Amending Act 37 of 2014.- It is considered necessary to amend the Universities of Agricultural Sciences Act, 2009 (Karnataka Act 10 of 2010) to make provision for initiation of action against the Vice-Chancellor when they disobey the directions or disagree to implement the directions of the Chancellor or the State Government and when they misuse their power. Hence the Bill. [L.A. Bill No.48 of 2014, File No. Samvyashae 66 Shasana 2012] [entry 14 of List II and 25 of List III of the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India] V Amending Act 07 of 2022,- It is considered necessary to amend the Universities of Agricultural Sciences Act, 2009 (Karnataka Act 10 of 2010) for the purpose of ,- (1) New campus of the University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shivamogga has been setup in Iruvakki of Sagara Taluk of Shivamogga Dirstrict. Keladi Shivappa Nayaka is considered as one of the greatest king among Keladi rulers. He gave importance to revenue, dry land forming and soil standard in agricultural activity. Since the University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences is established in this region, University has been named as "Keladi Shivappa Nayaka Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences University" in the commemoration of him. (2) The word „shimoga‟ has been renamed as „Shivamogga‟ as per the Karnataka Alteration of names of certain places Act, 2016 (Karnataka Act 04 of 2017). Hence, the Bill. [L.A. Farm, Mandya to conduct study, research and extension in the field of crops grown in the districts of Mandya, Hassan, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu by transferring the colleges, Research Institutes, Extension Education Units, Laboratories, Libraries, Hostels etc., from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore and Keladi Shivappa Nayaka Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences University, Shivamogga.
