Keladi Shivappa Nayaka is considered as one of the greatest king among Keladi rulers. He gave importance to revenue, dry land forming and soil standard in agricultural activity. Since the University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences is established in this region, University has been named as "Keladi Shivappa Nayaka Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences University" in the commemoration of him. (2) The word „shimoga‟ has been renamed as „Shivamogga‟ as per the Karnataka Alteration of names of certain places Act, 2016 (Karnataka Act 04 of 2017). Hence, the Bill. [L.A.
