Adapted by the Karnataka Adaptations of Laws Order, 1973 w.e.f. 01.11.1973. (c) “finder” means in the case of any treasure found in the course of work done at the express or implied direction of any person, such person and in any other case the person who finds the treasure; (d) “notification” means a notification published in the official Gazette; (e) “owner” in respect of any land or thing affixed to land, includes a person who is entitled under any law or instrument, to treasure in such land or thing: Provided that where the land is the property of the Government, the Government shall be deemed to be the owner of the land or thing affixed thereto; (f) “prescribed” means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
