Section 51

Vacating of Office

Vacating of Office.- (1) Any member other than the ex-officio member of any authority or body of the University may resign his office. The letter of resignation written in hand by the member shall be sent to the Vice-Chancellor. Such resignation shall take effect immediately on its acceptance and communication to the concerned. (2) No member of the authority or body of the University who is nominated in his capacity as a member of a particular body or as a teacher or where expressly stated so, as the holder of a particular appointment shall continue to be a member of a particular body or teacher or the holder of that particular appointment: Provided that such of the teachers who are continued on attaining superannuation till the end of the academic year on re-employment basis, shall cease to be members of such authority or body on attainment of superannuation. (3) A member of any authority or body of the University shall cease to be member on his being convicted by a Court of law for any offence involving moral turpitude.
