Restriction of holding the membership of the authorities.- (1) Any member nominated to any of the authorities under this Act shall hold office during the pleasure of the nominating authority concerned. (2) Any person nominated to any of the authorities under this Act shall not be eligible for being nominated or elected for a second term. (3) Any member nominated to any of the authorities shall be liable to be removed from such membership at any time by the Chancellor on the ground of mis-behaviour, misconduct or otherwise after holding an enquiry; Provided that any member of the Academic Council or Syndicate shall cease to hold the membership on attainment of superannuation. (4) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, no person who is not a graduate of any University established by law shall be eligible for nomination as a member of any of the authorities under this Act. (5) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act but save as otherwise provided, any employee of the University, both teaching and non-teaching or ministerial or any person in the management of an affiliated college in whatever capacity shall not be eligible for nomination as member of any of the authorities under this Act.
