The Chancellor.- (1) The Governor of Karnataka shall by virtue of his office be the Chancellor of the University. (2) The Chancellor shall be the Head of the University and shall preside over the convocations of the University. (3) No Honorary degree shall be conferred by the University on any person except with the previous approval of the Chancellor. (4) The Chancellor shall exercise such other powers and perform such other functions as may be conferred upon him by or under this Act.
