Directors.- (1) Every Director shall be appointed by Board of Management on the recommendation of, - 22 (i) the Vice-Chancellor, in case the candidate to be appointed is already a teacher of the University; and (ii) a Selection Committee constituted for the purpose, in case the candidate to be appointed is from outside the University. (2) Every Director shall be a whole-time salaried officer of the University. (3) The emoluments and other conditions of service of the Director shall be as prescribed by the Ordinances: Provided that a Director shall retire on attaining the age of sixty years. (4) A Director shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed by the Ordinances.
