Section 13

The Pro-Chancellor

The Pro-Chancellor.- (1) The Minister in charge of Law, Justice and Human Rights in Karnataka shall be the Pro-Chancellor by virtue of his office. (2) The Pro-Chancellor shall preside over the convocation of the university in the absence of the Chancellor. (3) The Pro-Chancellor shall exercise such powers and functions of the Chancellor as may be conferred on him by or under this Act or under the Statutes. He shall also exercise such other 12 powers and perform such other duties of the Chancellor as the Chancellor may by order in writing delegate to the Pro-Chancellor, and such delegation may be subject to such restrictions and conditions as may be specified in such order.
