Transitional provisions.- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the First Vice-Chancellor may, with the previous approval of the Chancellor, discharge any of the functions of the University for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act, and for that purpose may exercise any powers or perform any duties which by this Act are to be exercised or performed by any Authority of the University until such Authority comes into existence as provided by this Act. Further, such of the students who were admitted to the institution or an affiliated college shall continue to complete their course or programme in the college until they qualify to receive their Degree from the Parent University.
