Controller of Examinations

Controller of Examinations.- (1) The Controller of Examinations shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor in such manner and on such terms and conditions as may be laid down by the Statutes. (2) The Controller of Examinations shall be the principal Officer-in-charge of the conduct of the examinations of the University and declaration of results. He shall be a full-time salaried officer of the University and shall work directly under the Vice- Chancellor. (3) The appointment of Controller of Examinations shall be for a term of three years, and he shall be eligible for reappointment for subsequent terms. (4) The Controller of Examinations shall be responsible for making all arrangements necessary for holding examinations and declaration of results by formulating the Calendar of Examinations. (5) The Controller of Examinations shall be responsible to take necessary steps to avoid malpractices in examination processes and take disciplinary action including legal proceedings in consultation with the Registrar and Vice-Chancellor, wherever needed. (6) The Controller of Examinations shall be responsible to review from time to time, the results of University examinations and forward Reports thereon to the Academic Council. (7) The Controller of Examinations shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed in the Statutes or assigned by the Vice- Chancellor from time to time.
