The Pro-Visitor.- (1) The Honourable Minister for Higher Education of the Government of Karnataka shall be the Pro-Visitor of the University. (2) The Pro-Visitor shall, when the Visitor is absent, preside over the Convocation. (3) The Pro-Visitor shall have the following powers, namely: (a) to call for any paper or information relating to the affairs of the University; (b) to call a meeting of the Authorities of the Sponsoring Body/University relating to the affairs of the University; and (c) on the basis of the information received by the Pro-Visitor, he may issue such directions as deemed fit in the interest of the University.
