The Pro-Chancellor.- (1) The Pro-chancellor shall be Appointed by the Sponsoring Body who is a person of eminence in the field of Education, Science, Culture or Public Life. (2) The Pro-Chancellor shall exercise all powers of the Chancellor in his absence or shall exercise the powers as entrusted by the Chancellor or perform such duties as may be laid down by the Statutes. (3) The Pro-chancellor shall chair all the Committees, meetings and convocations in the absence of the chancellor. (4) The services of the Pro-Chancellor may be terminated by the Chancellor at any point of time as he deems fit.
