Appointment of Executive Committee and other committees.- (1) The Apex Authority may appoint an Executive Committee and such other committees and sub-committees consisting of such number of members for efficient performance and exercise of its powers conferred under this Act, as may be specified by regulations. 7 (2) The Apex Authority may, instead of appointing an Executive Committee under sub-section (1), designate the executive of the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board to be the Executive Committee of the Apex Authority for the purposes of this Act: Provided that, the core functions of the Apex Authority such as approval and modification of development plan, town planning scheme and the general development regulations shall not be delegated to any committee of the Apex Authority.
