Power to remove dangerous or offensive trades from slum areas.- The prescribed authority may, by order in writing, direct any person carrying on any dangerous or offensive trade in a slum area to remove the trade from that area within such time as may be specified in the order: Provided that before making any order under this section the prescribed authority shall call upon the person carrying on the trade to show cause why the order should not be made and after considering the cause, if any, shown by such person, it may pass such orders as it deems fit. 1[Explanation.- For the purposes of this section "dangerous or offensive trade" includes,- (a) trading in arrack or toddy or other intoxicants; and (b) pawn broking or money lending except by a co-operative society or a banking company.]1
