The My sore Contract (Extension to Agricultural lands) Act 1954 (My sore Act 29 of 1954). This Act which is in force in Mysore area of the State provides for application of the Indian Contract Act 1872 (Central Act IX of 1872) to contracts relating to agricultural lands as they apply to other lands in Mysore Area of the State. Indian Contract Act is in force in the whole State. As suggested by the One-man Committee it is proposed to extend this Act to the whole State. The words “except Bellary district” occurring in section 1(2) of the Act have been deleted by sub- section (3) of section 4 of Mysore Act 14 of 1955. Hence, the Bill. [L.C. Whereas it is expedient to repeal certain regional laws in force in one or other Areas of the State and to amend certain such and other laws in force in the State. Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Sixtieth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
