Maintenance of clinical records.- (1) Every Private Medical Establishment shall maintain clinical records of its activities relating to the patients under its care in the prescribed manner. (2) Every clinical record shall be open to inspection, in due discharge of his duties, by the District Surgeon or any other officer specifically empowered in this behalf by the State Government. 22 (3) Every person or his family member shall be entitled to obtain a copy of the clinical record pertaining to himself on payment of appropriate charges. 1[Provided that no such information shall be disclosed to any other person.]1
