Punishment to be in accordance with the foregoing except by order of a competent court.—Except by order of a competent court no punishment other than the punishment specified in section 46, section 47, section 48 or section 49 shall be inflicted on any prisoner and no punishment shall be inflicted on any prisoner otherwise than in accordance with the provisions of those sections.
