Appointment of competent authority.- The State Government may, by notification, appoint the Tahasildar of a Revenue Taluk or an officer of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries not below the 4 rank of Veterinary Officer as the Competent authority under this Act for such local area as may be specified in such notification.
