Savings.—(1) Nothing contained in this Act shall apply to any loan advanced on a pledge in any area in which this Act is brought into force by a notification under sub-section (3) of section 1 before the expiry of six months from the date appointed in such notification. (2) The provisions of this Act shall be in addition to the provisions of the 1[Karnataka]1 Money-lenders Act, 1961.
