Definitions.- In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) “affiliated institution” means an institution for the nursing of the sick, maternity or child welfare, which may be affiliated to the Council in accordance with the bye-laws; (b) “auxiliary nurse-midwife” means a person who has passed the examination prescribed in this behalf; (c) “bye-law” means a bye-law made by the Council under section 30; (d) “Council” means the 1[Karnataka Nursing Council]1 constituted under section 3;
