Term of office and casual vacancy.- (1) Every member shall hold office for a period of three years. (2) A casual vacancy in the office of a member shall be filled by fresh nomination by the State Government and the new member so nominated shall hold office only for the remainder of the term for which the member whose place he fills was nominated.
