Provisions applicable to the acquisition of land otherwise than by agreement.- (1) The acquisition of land under this Act otherwise than by agreement within the Local Planning Area of the Authorityshall be regulated by the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 Of 2013), so far as they are applicable. (2) For the purpose of the specific provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 Of 2013), the Authority shall be deemed to be the local authority concerned. (3) After the land vests in the Government under provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act 30 Of 2013), the Deputy Commissioner shall, upon payment of the cost of the acquisition, and upon the Authority agreeing to pay any further costs which may be incurred on account of the acquisition, transfer the land to the Authority, and the land shall thereupon vest in the Authority.
