Enguiries by the Deputy Commissioner.-(1) The Deputy Com wissioner may, by general or special order, authorise any ofice not below the rank of an Amildar subordinate to him to hold engnivin on bis behalf, under this Act. thereunder. (2) In respect of every enquiry under this Act by the Deputy Commissioner or any officer authorised under sub-section (1), the provisions of the Land Revenue Code, relating to formal enquiry shall apply as if such enquiry is a formal enquiry under the said Code.
