Liability to removal from office.—(1) The Government, if it thinks fit on the recommendation of the municipal council, may remove any councillor elected 1[x x x]1 under this Act, 2[x x x]2 and after such enquiry as it deems necessary, if such councillor has been guilty of misconduct in the discharge of his duties, or of any disgraceful conduct, or has become incapable of performing his duties as a councillor.
