Term of office of members of interim municipal council and their powers.—(1) The Government shall, within a period not exceeding 1[six months]1 from the date on which the interim municipal council has been constituted, take steps in accordance with section 11 for the purpose of determining the number of councillors of, and for holding elections for, a new municipal council.
