Withdrawal and modification of powers and orders.—(1) The Government may by notification at any time,— (a) withdraw any power conferred by or under sections 248 and 249; (b) cancel or modify any limitation, restriction or condition prescribed in respect of any such power; or (c) cancel any order passed by a municipal council in exercise of any such power. (2) Every order passed by a municipal council in exercise of any such power as aforesaid shall, on the withdrawal of such power, cease to be in force in the 1[municipal area]1.
