Survey of lands and buildings and preparation of property register.- (1) The Municipal Commissioner or the Chief Officer as the case may be, shall, subject to the general or special orders of the Government, direct a survey of 1[buildings or vacant land or both]1 within the Municipal area with a view to the assessment of property tax and may obtain the services of any qualified person or agency for conducting such survey and preparation of property register.
