Duties of police officers

Duties of police officers.- It shall be the duty of every police officer,- (a) to communicate without delay to the appropriate corporation officer any information which he receives of the design to commit or of the commission of any offence under this Act or any rule, bye-law or regulations made under it; (b) to assist the Commissioner or any corporation officer or servant or any person to whom the Commissioner has lawfully delegated powers reasonably demanding his aid for the lawful exercise of any power vesting in 256 the Commissioner or in such corporation officer or servant or person under this Act or any such rule, bye-law or regulation, and for all such purposes he shall have the same powers which he has in the exercise of his ordinary police duties.
