Proceedings before District Court.- (1) On an application made under section 471, the District Court shall summon the other party to appear before it. (2) On the appearance of the parties or, in the absence of any of them, on proof of due service of the summons, the District Court may hear and determine the case. (3) In every such case the District Court shall determine the amount of the costs and shall direct by which of the parties the same shall be paid.
