Power of person conducting election and other inquiries.- All persons authorised by rule to conduct enquiries relating to elections and all inspecting or superintending officers holding any inquiry into matters falling within the scope of their duties, shall have for the purposes of such enquiries the same powers in regard to the issue of summonses for the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents as are conferred upon revenue officers by the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 and the provisions of that Act shall apply to summonses issued and to persons summoned by virtue of the powers conferred by this section; and all persons to whom summonses are issued by virtue of the said powers shall be bound to obey such summonses. 447.Summons to attend and give evidence or produce documents.- The Commissioner may summon any person to attend before him, and to give evidence or produce documents, as the case may be, in respect of any question relating to taxation, or inspection, or registration or to the grant of any licence or permission under the provisions of this Act.
