Power to provide meters.- (1) The corporation may provide a water meter and attach the same to the service pipe in premises connected with the corporation water works. (2) The expenses of attaching a meter under sub-section (1) shall be paid by the owner of the premises. (3) The use, rent to be paid for such use, maintenance and testing of meters shall be regulated by the bye-laws.
