Composition of the Board.-(1) The Board shall consist of a Chairperson and such number of members including ex-officio members not exceeding four as may be appointed by the State Government. (2)The Chairperson shall be a person who is or has been an officer of the State Government not below the rank of Secretary to Government including ex-officio Secretary: Provided that not exceeding two members shall be persons having knowledge and experience in the fields of municipal administration, valuation of properties, accountancy, law and urban planning as the State Government may prescribe. (3) The Chairperson and the members of the Board shall hold office for a period of five years: 1[Proviso xxx]1
