Short title, commencement and application.- (1) This Act may be called the Karnataka Motor Transport and Other Allied Workers' Social Security and Welfare Act, 2024. (2) It applies to the workmen working in every motor transport undertaking, garages, workshops, automobile body building and any other similar establishments which shall be notified by the State Government from time to time. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
