Money-lenders to obtain licence.— No person shall carry on the business of money-lending in the State except 1[under and]1 in accordance with the terms and conditions of a licence 2[and, after the commencement of the Karnataka Money Lenders (Amendment) Act, 1985, except on payment of security deposit as provided in section 7A]2.
