Substituted by Act 26 of 2025 w.e.f. 04.04.2025. (2) In a residence used by a Minister of State who is entitled to a house rent allowance in lieu of a furnished residence, three rooms shall be furnished by the State Government on such scales as may be prescribed, to be used for official purposes. 1[He shall be entitled for an allowance of 4[3[2[thirty thousand rupees]2]3]4 per month for maintenance and up keep of residence and for layout and maintenance of gardens included in such residence]1.
