Maintenance of lifts or escalator or passenger conveyors.- (1) Every owner of lift or escalator or passenger conveyor shall enter into a contract with the registered person, for the satisfactory maintenance, including cleaning, oiling, adjusting and repairing of the lift or escalator or passenger conveyor. (2) Any dispute, controversy or claim between the owner of lift or escalator or passenger conveyor and registered person, arises out of or in connection with annual maintenance contract, including the existence, breach, termination or validity thereof, the seat of arbitration shall be in the State of Karnataka.
