Application for licence in case of existing lifts.- (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in sections 3 and 4, every owner of a place in which a lift has been installed 5 before the date of the commencement of this Act, shall within two months from such date apply for a licence for the working of such lift. (2) The provisions of sub-sections (2) to (4) of section 4 shall, so far as may be,apply to such application.
