WHEREAS it is expedient to declare that certain offices should not, under certain conditions, disqualify or be deemed to have disqualified, the holders thereof for being chosen as, or for being, members of the 1[Karnataka Legislative Assembly]1 and the 1[Karnataka Legislative Council]1; BE it enacted by the 1[Karnataka State]1 Legislature in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
