Short title, extent and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called as the Karnataka Land (Restriction on Transfer) Act, 1991. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Karnataka. (3) It shall come into force on such 1[date]1 as the Government may by notification specify and different dates may be specified for different urban areas.
