Vesting of land surrendered by tenant.—(1) Where the land surrendered under section 67 is by a tenant, 1[of a soldier or a seaman]1 the possession of the land shall revert 64 to the owner in every case where, and to the extent to which the owner himself is not liable to surrender such land in accordance with the provisions of section 67.
