Power to release property seized under section 16.-Where the seized property is such that it cannot be conveniently be produced before the Magistrate or the Authorized Officer as the case may be, it may be released by the Chief Executive officer to the owner thereof on his executing a Bank guarantee and a bond undertaking to produce the property so released if and when so required, before the Magistrate having jurisdiction to try the offence on account of which the seizure has been made or before the Authorized officer.
