Constitution and Incorporation of the Authority.- (1) As soon as may be after the date of commencement of this Act, the State Government shall by notification, constitute for the krishna basin, an authority to be called the Karnataka Krishna Basin Development Authority. (2) The said Authority shall be a body corporate by the name aforesaid having perpetual succession and common seal, with power, subject to the provisions of this Act, to acquire, hold and dispose of property both movable and immovable and to contract and shall by the said name sue or be sued.
