Establishment of the University.- (1) Where the State Government, after considering the recommendations of the screening Committee and holding such inquiry as it may deem necessary, is satisfied that- (i) twenty five Acres of land within the limits of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar palike (BBMP) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (BMRDA) or thirty-five acres of land within City Corporation Limits of Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi, Bellari, Kalaburagi and Belagavi or fifty acres of land at other places; The land specified above shall consist of a single block and it shall be in the name of the concerned Society or institution or university itself.
