Right of reimbursement in respect of contribution.- Where the landholder (not being in the South Kanara District a walawargadar, a kayamgenidar, a permanent tenant or a mulgeni tenant) liable to pay contribution under this Act is not the owner of the land or is a co-owner of the land, nothing in this Act shall be deemed to affect his right to reimbursement from the owner or to recover proportionate part from the co- owner, as the case may be.
