Section 18

Cognizance of offence

Cognizance of offence.- No court shall take cognizance of any offence under this Act,- (a) except on the complaint or report of the officer authorised by the State Government in this behalf; and (b) unless the prosecution is instituted within three months from the date on which the offence is alleged to have been committed.
