Causing damage to highways.—Whoever in contravention of sub-section (1) of section 54 wilfully causes, or allows any vehicle or animal in his charge to cause any damage to any highway, shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees. 1[58A. Entry to bridges etc., without paying toll.—Whoever enters a bridge, causeway or tunnel without paying the toll prescribed under section 48A shall, on conviction, be punished,— (a) for the first offence with a fine which may extend to one hundred rupees; (b) for a subsequent offence with a fine which may extend to four hundred rupees.]1
