Mayor and Deputy Mayor.- The Members of each City Corporation shall in the first meeting of each City Corporation elect one of its Councillors to be the Mayor and another member to be the Deputy Mayor of the City Corporation in such manner as may be prescribed. In an event of a vacancy in the office of either the Mayor or the Deputy Mayor, the City Corporation shall within one month of such a vacancy fill up these vacancies.
